Sometimes Sherlock wonders why John puts up with him. Sometimes John wonders the same thing.

I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved this. The ending and ugh… I had emotions. So, this is a sort of loose take on greaser!lock. It’s really more about Sherlock coming to terms with how…

30 Day OTP Challenge Day 3: Gaming/Watching a Movie
(Day | 1 | 2 |)

John continues to decline Sherlock’s offer to move back in to 221b. However, that does not seem to stop a slow, steady migration of his belongings. Had Sherlock ever been in a traditional relationship before, he may have thought slightly more of the boxes of tea John now kept stashed in the cupboards (“I know you don’t care for assam, but a man can only drink so much bloody lapsang.” “John your tea reeks of cinnamon. The whole kitchen reeks of it.” “I assure you Sherlock, that is not what your kitchen reeks of.”), or the spare jumpers folded neatly in a pile, tucked away in an unused corner. John does not go upstairs to his old room. He neatly avoids the staircase whenever he’s visiting Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson. Sherlock notices the way John confines himself to the main room and the kitchen, but somehow fails to notice that John has placed a toothbrush, still in its plastic wrapping, underneath the bathroom sink. If asked, John probably could not say himself why he does it.
And though Sherlock may be oblivious to John’s gradual reintroduction to their flat, John is painfully aware of Mary’s slow departure from his own.
And John hates that he doesn’t care about it as much as he knows he should. Christ, they had been dating for nearly seven months. They had been good months too, honestly. They shared an easy friendship, in which she did not push too hard for him to talk about Sherlock, or to socialize when he didn’t want to, and with her he was able to relax and joke in a way he hadn’t thought he would be able to again.
But then Sherlock decided to not be dead. And it was just bad timing, that the chaos surrounding his return happened to overlap his six month anniversary with Mary, who also seemed to think six months warranted more than a brief squeeze and a peck on the cheek before John dashed off to the NSY.
No, the ensuing fight had not been pleasant, and had not been the kind that was shortly followed up with make up sex. It had actually been the kind that was soon followed up with the disappearance of two pairs of Mary’s pajamas she had kept in one of John’s drawers. After that, her belongings slowly seemed to trickle out of John’s flat, even as more of his things found themselves back on Baker street.

Full band cover of the Adventure Time song “I’m Just Your Problem”, originally composed by Rebecca Sugar for the character of Marceline, re-done in a radio-friendly gothic metal kind of style. Vocals by Nicole Vaquerano. Guitar solo by Carlos (youtube.com/KarlosRock92).

fuckyeahjohnlockfanfic:

It had begun innocuously enough, when Sherlock had found a scrap of paper under the armchair that had become reserved solely for John’s use. Sherlock Holmes, it read, with 221B Baker Street underneath.

Adorable! I think the fact that I’ve been seeing a lot of the pages from the casebook…
